Her Story
An artist of
quiet attention
Based in Queensland, Australia, I work at the intersection of botanical illustration, nature journaling, and quiet observation, where each page begins with a pause. A pause to notice the curve of a stem, the weight of light on a petal, the way a place settles into memory.
My work is not only about plants or landscapes, but about presence. A flowering branch, sketched in situ. A page marked by wind, by travel, by time. Each piece holds a moment of encounter, an attempt to understand not just form, but feeling.
I hold a Certificate in Botanical Illustration from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and am currently undertaking the Distance Learning Diploma with the Society of Botanical Artists (UK). I also serve as a committee member of the Australian Nature Journalling Association (ANJA), contributing to a community grounded in curiosity and care for the natural world.

Philosophy
Why botanical illustration?
"This practice is, at its heart, an invitation: to slow down, to look again, to find, in the smallest details, a sense of belonging."
